Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable data pipelines and data products that empower analytics, AI and self-service insights. You will collaborate across cloud platforms, operational systems and integration services to create a trusted, secure, and high-quality enterprise data environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on development with modern data capabilities, batch and streaming pipelines, data lakes, and strong data quality practices to support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL, with solid ETL/ELT and data modelling experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS or GCP.
• Experience building batch and streaming pipelines, data lakes/lakehouses, APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Strong understanding of data quality, observability, lineage and CI/CD.
• Experience supporting AI/ML data workloads is a strong plus.
• Aviation, cargo, logistics, ground handling or asset-intensive industry experience is highly desirable.
