Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Dubai seeks a Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day shipping operations, allocate schedules to vessel transporter companies, and ensure on-time deliveries.

You will coordinate with production planning, shipping lines, and freight forwarders, maintaining accurate shipment records and escalating issues as needed. This role reinforces safety and quality in logistics workflows and requires strong communication and organizing skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Export Shipping and Logistics.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Email communication.

Responsibilities

• Allocates operations among vessel transporter companies and inputs the schedule into the system.
• Coordinates with Production Scheduling CFS and the Shipping Transporter to meet the schedule.
• Communicates with Shipping Lines, Transporters, and Freight forwarders regarding delivery status.
• Keeps track of shipments and deliveries until completion and confirms delivery in the system.
• Performs administrative duties to fulfil the above objectives.
• Monitors tasks and escalates issues to the line manager to prevent problems.

Job description

Day-to-Day Operation

• Allocates operations among the appropriate vessel transporter companies and inputs the schedule into the system
• Coordinates with Production Scheduling CFS and the Shipping Transporter company to ensure shipments meet the agreed schedule
• Communicates with Shipping Lines Transporters Freight forwarders both verbally and in writing regarding status of shipment delivery as and when necessary
• Keeps track of shipments and deliveries until completed and confirms delivery into the system
• Completes the required administrative duties and tasks associated with the above accountabilities to fulfil the objectives
• Monitors tasks and work progress thoroughly and escalates issues to the line manager supervisor to resolve and to prevent any potential problems

• Complies with all relevant safety quality and environmental management policies procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
