Introduction:

The Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department (the "Department") seeks to recruit qualified personnel to provide administrative support at the Government Claims Section, in accordance with approved regulations and procedures.

Core Job Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Copying and typing legal and administrative documents, including notifications, internal memoranda, and legal opinion memos, and archiving these in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensuring all actions taken on cases are archived on the Case Management System (Tawtheeq), and closing completed cases in accordance with the Department's established procedures.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings related to the Section's workflow, and drafting minutes of meetings.
  • Providing administrative support to Legal Counsels in the Government Disputes and Claims Directorate, to ensure that tasks are completed with the requisite precision and quality.
  • Preparing and updating the database pertaining to the Government Claims Section's work, in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.
Core Administrative Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Using Tawqeet to upload and log all tasks and duties completed by the employee on a daily basis, in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Preparing a weekly report of all cases assigned to the employee and the actions taken thereon, as per applicable instructions.
  • Complying with all the Department’s working procedures concerning the Case Management System ("Tawtheeq").
  • Complying with the Department's approved information security policies.
  • Adhering to all circulars issued by the Department regarding attendance, to ensure the accomplishment of assigned tasks with the requisite timeliness, quality, and efficiency.
Academic Qualifications and Years of Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of practical experience in the administrative field.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies:
  • Familiarity with the laws and legislation of the Emirate of Dubai, and the ability to draft official correspondence.
  • Analytical thinking and deductive reasoning, along with research and information-gathering skills, precision, and strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, teamwork, and professional customer service delivery.
  • Time management, planning, and organizational skills, with sound decision-making capabilities and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Creativity, innovation, and organizational awareness.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, and fluency in Arabic and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
