Job summary

Dubai Insurance Co. is recruiting a Data Engineer to join the Actuarial Services team, turning complex insurance data into actionable insights and scalable pipelines.

You will use Alteryx, SQL, Python, and Power BI to support reserving, pricing, profitability analysis, and portfolio monitoring, collaborating with actuaries, underwriters, finance, and IT.

Experience with data warehousing concepts and large datasets is preferred, with a focus on data quality, governance, and automation.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or BI Development.
• Experience with Alteryx Designer, SQL, Python, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in Power BI and data visualization.
• Insurance domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for actuarial and insurance data.
• Build and automate data workflows using Alteryx, SQL, and Python.
• Support actuarial functions including reserving, pricing, profitability analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
• Integrate data from policy administration, claims, finance, and other systems.
• Improve data quality, governance, and controls across actuarial processes.
• Partner with actuaries, underwriters, finance teams, and IT to deliver analytics.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Support data visualization and reporting through Power BI and BI tools.
