Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee all financial and accounting operations across multiple projects. The role focuses on project accounting, cost control, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance to support financial stability and growth.

The candidate will coordinate between project sites, procurement, and management, ensuring timely reporting and robust internal controls in a dynamic steel fabrication and construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce required.
• Professional certification such as CPA/ACCA/CMA/CA is highly advantageous.
• Minimum 10–15 years of accounting experience, with 5+ years in steel fabrication or construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations (AP/AR/GL/bank reconciliations).
• Prepare IFRS-based monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure project-wise accounting and job-cost reporting for fabrication projects.
• Develop cost control systems and monitor material, labour, subcontractor, and overhead costs.
• Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and bank facilities (LCs, guarantees).
• Ensure VAT and corporate tax compliance and liaise with auditors.

The Accounts Manager will oversee all financial and accounting operations for the Company The role requires strong industry experience in project accounting cost control and cash flow management The Accounts Manager will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination between project sites, procurement, and management to support the company s financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting Reporting
   • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
   • Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting for management and external stakeholders
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and company standards
   • Ensure timely project-wise accounting and job-cost reporting for steel fabrication and construction projects
   • Consolidate financial data from multiple projects and divisions
2. Project Costing and Budget Control
   • Develop and maintain project cost control systems to monitor material, labor, subcontractor, and overhead costs
   • Analyze cost variances and report deviations from project budgetsSupport project managers in cost forecasting and financial planning
   • Oversee inventory valuation and WIP Work-in-Progress accounting for fabrication units
3. Cash Flow and Treasury Management
   • Monitor company cash flows ensuring adequate liquidity for project operations
   • Manage supplier payments and collection schedules to maintain positive cash cycles
   • Prepare and update cash flow forecasts and funding requirements
   • Coordinate with banks for facilities such as LCs, bank guarantees, and project financing
4. Compliance, Audit and Taxation
   • Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other local statutory requirements e.g. UAE Corporate Tax
   • Coordinate with internal and external auditors providing required documentation and clarifications
   • Maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and accounting standards
   • Monitor and implement changes in tax or accounting regulations relevant to the industry
5. Internal Controls and System Management
   • Strengthen internal control systems to prevent financial discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
   • Develop, document and maintain accounting policies and procedures
   • Oversee ERP accounting software implementation and data integrity e.g. Tally ERP, SAP or Oracle
   • Automate reports for faster project financial monitoring and management review
6. Leadership and Team Development
   • Supervise, train and evaluate accounting and finance staff across head office and project sites
   • Foster collaboration between finance, procurement, operations and project management teams
   • Build a strong performance-driven finance culture with accountability and transparency

Qualifications

• Experience strong Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
• Professional certification such as strong CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA strong is a strong advantage
• Minimum strong 10 15 years of accounting experience strong with at least strong 5 years in the steel fabrication or construction industry strong
• Hands-on experience with strong project accounting, cost control and ERP systems strong
• In-depth knowledge of strong IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax laws strong
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and tight reporting timelines strong
