Job summary

Ajman University's College of Business Administration invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Accounting, starting Spring 2026/2027. The successful candidate will teach both graduate and undergraduate programs and engage with the business community.

Preference will be given to candidates with professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) and a record of scholarly publications in top-tier journals. AACSB accreditation is held by the college.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Accounting from a reputable university (preferably internationally ranked and AACSB accredited).
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) preferred.
• Two+ years of teaching experience at an internationally reputable university (AACSB).
• Proven track record in teaching Managerial Accounting, Computerized Accounting, Taxation, Auditing at undergrad/grad levels.
• Strong research record with publications in top-tier journals (SCOPUS/ABDC/ABS).

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and assess graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and related areas.
• Engage in innovative and technology-based approaches to teaching and learning.
• Provide academic advising services to students.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish research outcomes in reputable journals and conferences.
• Participate in committee and other service tasks at the department, college, and university levels.
• Actively engage in promoting the growth and visibility of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy and other industry-facing services to Ajman University partners and members of the business community.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
