Job summary

IFZA Partnership in Dubai is seeking a junior accounting professional to support daily financial operations. You will process transactions, post journal entries, and reconcile invoices while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

You will prepare aging reports, assist in monthly financial statements for customers, and contribute to continuous improvement within the SSC. A degree in accounting or finance and 1–2 years' experience, with native Chinese proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 1–2 years accounting experience preferred.
• Native Chinese speaker mandatory.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Ability to operate effectively under demanding timelines.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions according to procedures and record them accurately and timely.
• Reconcile invoices and statements; investigate discrepancies.
• Post journal transactions in line with double-entry bookkeeping.
• Create and record aging reports; assist in monthly closings.
• Support customers on financial packages and maintain relationships.
• Implement documentation and promote operational efficiency per controls.

Responsibilities

• Processing transactions according to stated procedures and ensuring that all transactions are recorded in a timely and accurate manner
• Reconciling invoices, statements of accounts, and investigating discrepancies
• Posting accounting journal transactions in line with double entry bookkeeping
• Creating and recording aging reports
• Managing relationships and providing daily partnering support to customers on their financial packages
• Implementing procedure documentation in line with internal controls and promoting operational efficiency
• Ensuring all policies are complied with fully in accordance with the company
• Acting as a competent contact person for various inquiries relating to your area of responsibility
• Proactively identifying service delivery issues and taking appropriate action
• Supporting standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within the SSC
• Ensuring continuity of daily tasks
• Overseeing the final preparation of financial statements for customers monthly
• Giving regular updates to the team lead on progress
• Assisting in and/or carrying out ad hoc tasks to support the business vision

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-2 years' accounting experience
• Part or fully qualified professional accounting qualification (from a recognized accounting body) preferred
• Native/Bilingual/Professional Chinese speaker (Mandatory)
• Detail orientated & organized
• Ability to operate effectively under demanding timelines
