Job summary

Abu Dhabi University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor in Accounting in the College of Business in Abu Dhabi. We seek an internationally recognized PhD holder with a strong teaching record, publications in peer‑reviewed journals, and experience in industry or professional service.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university, preferably AACSB, EQUIS, or listed in the top 200 global ranking.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to high-quality research.
• A proven record of curriculum development and innovative teaching practices in accounting.
• An established portfolio of scholarly research, with publications in reputable, peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience in industry practice, consultancy, or professional service is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA.
• Industry experience in accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting and related disciplines.
• Develop and sustain a productive research agenda leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and theses.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and initiatives.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and conferences.
• Foster industry collaboration and contribute to university outreach and impact initiatives.
