Job summary

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6-month temporary contract. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key finance projects, including VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, audit support, financial reporting, and finance process automation.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, revenue schedules, audits, payroll postings, and maintaining process documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in financial accounting, audit support, and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of VAT and tax compliance processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Oracle experience is advantageous).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently within defined review frameworks.
• Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.

Pay range and compensation package

This is a temporary 6‑month position and does not include visa sponsorship. Applicants must hold a valid UAE residency visa and be legally eligible to work in the UAE.
