Job summary

Ghobash Group in Dubai seeks an Accountant to support the finance team with accurate record keeping, reporting and audit assistance. You will help maintain ledgers, process invoices, reconcile bank statements and prepare periodic financial statements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, experience with accounting software, and strong Excel skills. This is a full-time on-site position in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Internship or relevant work experience in accounting preferred.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle).
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and updating financial records including ledgers and journals.
• Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries.
• Review and process employee expense reports.
• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor variances.
• Ensure transactions comply with regulations and company policies.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department.
