Job summary

The Ghobash Group is seeking an Accountant to support the finance and accounting department in Dubai. You will maintain ledgers, prepare reports, process invoices, and assist with audits, under supervision of senior staff.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, familiarity with accounting software, and strong Excel skills. This full-time role requires accuracy, timely reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Internship or relevant work experience in accounting.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP or Oracle.
• Strong MS Excel skills and numerical accuracy.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and updating financial records including ledgers, journals and other accounting documents.
• Process invoices, verify financial data and support accounts payable records.
• Assist in preparing and sending invoices and following up on receivables.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Review and process employee expense reports for timely reimbursement.
• Post journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support budgets and monitor variances for management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and handle routine accounting inquiries.
