Job summary

PO Trading - F.Z.E is seeking a professional for a comprehensive General Accounting role in the UAE. The position covers daily accounting, GL entries, fixed assets, monthly closings, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and regulatory tax support.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, with 2–5 years of relevant experience, IFRS knowledge, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax familiarity, and proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting transactions and general ledger.
• Record sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Perform monthly closing activities.
• Process supplier invoices and payment vouchers.
• Monitor customer balances and collections; reconcile statements.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with VAT and Corporate Tax calculations and filings.
• Prepare monthly trial balances and assist with P&L and balance sheet.
• Support monthly management reporting and accounting schedules.
• Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems; ensure policy compliance.
• Identify discrepancies and report unusual transactions.

General Accounting

• 1- Maintain daily accounting transactions and general ledger
• 2-Record sales purchases expenses receipts and payments
• 3- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• 4-Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
• 5-Perform monthly closing activities

Accounts Payable Receivable

• 1-Process supplier invoices and payment vouchers start
• 2 Monitor customer outstanding balances and collections Reconcile supplier and customer statements Follow up on overdue receivables and payment schedules

Bank Cash Management

• 1-Prepare monthly bank reconciliations start
• 2 Monitor cash and bank balances Maintain petty cash records Track cash flow and payment commitments

Tax Statutory Compliance

• 1- Assist in VAT and Corporate Tax calculations and filings
• 2- Maintain tax records and supporting documents
• 3-Assist with withholding tax reconciliations
• 4- Support statutory and tax audits

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly trial balances
• 1-Assist in preparing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• 2- Prepare expense analysis and accounting schedules
• 3-Support monthly management reporting

Documentation Internal Controls

• 1- Maintain proper accounting records and filing systems
• 2- Ensure compliance with company financial policies
• 3- Verify invoices purchase orders and payment approvals
• 4- Identify discrepancies and report unusual transactions
