Job summary

Mackenzie Jones Middle East is seeking an Accountant to join our Finance Team in Dubai. The role covers the complete accounting cycle for accounts payable, from inputting invoices to processing payments, with reporting to the Finance Director.

You will ensure timely financial reporting, maintain strong accounting controls, and coordinate month-end and quarter-end activities. English communication is essential; Arabic or French would be an advantage. Dubai experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Professional accounting qualification ACCA/ ACA or CPA is mandatory.
• At least 2 years' experience in accounting is required; sector experience a plus.
• Good knowledge of accounting software is required.
• Good communication in English; Arabic or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle complete accounts payable cycle from invoice entry to payment processing.
• Process invoices in a timely manner and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and statements with proper accounting controls.
• Directly report to the Finance Director.
• Manage weekly payment runs and ensure timely processing.
• Coordinate month-end and quarter-end activities, journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform other accounting/financial/administrative tasks as required by the Director of Finance.

Job description

My client is a leading solution provider, active in the Oil & Gas sector. They are constantly growing all over the Middle East and are actively looking for an Accountant to join their Finance Team in Dubai.

The Role:

• Responsible for the complete accounting cycle relating to accounts payable for the group including: Inputting invoices into accounting system
• Processing invoices in a timely manner
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures
• Directly reporting to the Finance Director
• Processing weekly payment runs
• Coordination of month-end and quarter-end activities, journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the Director of Finance

Requirements and Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• MUST BE HOLDING a Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or a CPA)
• MUST HAVE at least 2 years' working experience relevant to accounting. Experience in a similar sector is a plus
• Good knowledge of using accounting software
• Good communication skills in English. Arabic or French skills an added advantage

They are offering a salary package between AED 10.000 and 15.000, depending on your experience and educational background.
