Job summary

1inch is seeking an experienced accounting professional in the UAE to own day-to-day bookkeeping and the month-end close for the group’s entities. You will ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time, reconciliations are complete, and the financial information used by Finance and the wider business is correct at the source.

Your work will feed into the Financial Controller's and FP&A review, and you will manage supplier invoices, bank and intercompany reconciliations, VAT returns,

Qualifications

• Three years of accounting experience in international or multi-entity environment.
• Experience with reconciliations and management reporting.
• Experience with balance sheets, P&L statements and double-entry accounting.
• Proficient with Xero, SAP or similar and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end month-end close process and timetable.
• Record day-to-day accounting entries; perform reconciliations.
• Prepare accruals, prepayments and rental revenue journals.
• Maintain Group Asset File and reconcile fixed asset register monthly.
• Process supplier invoices via Dext, monitor AP/AR, and process payments.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support tax returns; ensure UAE VAT compliance.
• Keep ApprovalMax updated for changes to vendors, budgets or approvals.
• Prepare management accounts and IFRS/compliance reporting.
• Support external audits and ad hoc requests.

Your mission

You will own day-to-day bookkeeping and the month-end close for the group's entities. You will ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time, reconciliations are complete, and the financial information used by Finance and the wider business is correct at the source. Your work will feed directly into the Financial Controller's and Finance Business Partner's review and sign-off.

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end month-end close process and deliver it to the agreed timetable.
• Record day-to-day accounting entries accurately and on time. Perform bank, payroll, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, and rental revenue journals. Maintain the Group Asset File and reconcile the fixed asset register monthly, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Process supplier invoices through Dext, prepare AP invoices, monitor accounts receivable collections, and process payments.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns, support the completion of tax returns, and ensure UAE VAT compliance.
• Keep ApprovalMax updated when vendor, budget, or approval changes occur.
• Prepare management accounts and transaction records in line with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
• Support external audit requests, MFR slides, expense reporting, payroll inputs, automation, process improvements, and other ad hoc requests.

Who you are

• You have at least three years of accounting experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
• You have experience with reconciliations and management reporting.
• You have experience with balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and double-entry accounting.
• You are proficient with accounting tools such as Xero, SAP, or similar, as well as Excel.
• You work accurately and bring strong attention to detail.
• You can meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
• You are willing to learn and grow in a dynamic environment and can approach problems proactively.

Nice to haves

• Experience with crypto or digital asset accounting.
• Experience in fintech, blockchain, or high-growth companies.
