Job summary

CPG Corporation in Dubai seeks an experienced accounting and finance professional to manage the full set of accounts, close monthly/annual periods, and prepare IFRS-based reports for decision-making. You will support budgeting and forecasting, assist project teams on financial matters, and ensure compliance with UAE VAT/corporate tax where applicable, while liaising with auditors and stakeholders.

The role requires relevant accounting qualifications, UAE experience, and strong Excel/ERP skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• ACCA/CPA/CA/CMA/ICAEW qualification would be an advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

   • Manage the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations
   • Perform month-end and year-end closing and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
   • Prepare financial and management reports in accordance with IFRS, Group policies and reporting requirements
   • Maintain proper accounting records, reconciliations and supporting documentation.

2. 2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

   • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting activities
   • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and provide variance analysis
   • Provide financial analysis and information to support management decision-making and business planning.

3. 3. Project & Business Finance Support

   • Support project and business teams on project financial matters, including revenue, costs, billing, collections and profitability
   • Monitor project financial performance and highlight significant financial risks or variances
   • Work closely with local management and project teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

4. 4. Cash Flow & Banking

   • Monitor cash flow, receivables and payment obligations and prepare cash flow forecasts.
   • Manage banking transactions, payments and bank reconciliations.
   • Support effective working capital and cash management.

5. 5. Audit, Tax & Compliance

   • Coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors on audit requirements.
   • Support compliance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT requirements, including preparation and filing of returns where applicable.
   • Maintain proper tax and statutory records and liaise with external tax advisers and the FTA when required.
   • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, Group policies and internal controls.

6. 6. Stakeholder Management

   • Work closely with local management, project and business teams, CPG Group Finance and CPG Consultants Finance in Singapore.
   • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers, banks and other service providers on finance-related matters.
   • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirement

Education & Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CMA or ICAEW would be an advantage

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably within the UAE or GCC.
• Hands-on experience in full set accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting and audit coordination
• Experience in project accounting and UAE VAT/Corporate Tax compliance would be advantageous

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Good knowledge of IFRS and financial accounting principles
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems; experience with SAP, Oracle or NetSuite would be advantageous
