Job Purpose

Assist the Finance Manager with all day-to-day financial reporting and management accounting functions for all designated sites.

Responsibilities

  1. Greet and register patients, notifying medical staff of their arrival.
  2. Offer complimentary beverages to patients upon arrival.
  3. Maintain a presentable appearance in line with Aspris standards.
  4. Verify and input patient demographic and insurance information into the Tendercare software program.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

  1. Assist with the month-end process for all designated areas of the P&L and balance sheet, providing suitable reporting and additional analysis in an accurate and timely manner.
  2. Develop working relationships with staff at all sites and within the finance team to ensure smooth information flow for management accounts production.
  3. Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality of accounting and reporting functions.
  4. Assist with budgets and forecasts across healthcare and education sites.
  5. Review trends, compare actual performance against budgets, and analyze significant variances.
  6. Support day-to-day issues within the wider department.
  7. Handle reconciliation processes including insurance, banking, and payroll; monitor healthcare management software for revenue recognition accuracy.
  8. Collaborate on VAT submissions during quarterly reporting.
  9. Support the year-end audit process by liaising with internal and external auditors.
  10. Prepare presentation materials and financial data for reports.
  11. Contribute to process improvements for finance and reporting functions.
  12. Produce routine and ad hoc analyses and reports, supporting project work as needed.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

The role holder should hold a full accounting qualification or be part-qualified, such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA.

Experience

Demonstrable previous experience within a finance function.

Communication

Ability to handle demanding situations with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibility
