Job summary

Rentify is seeking an Accountant in Dubai to handle daily accounting, bank reconciliations, and payouts to customers and landlords. You will prepare financial reports, support VAT and corporate tax filings, and ensure month-end closes with accurate schedules. The role requires keen attention to detail and solid Excel proficiency.

You will work with Zoho Books or similar ERP tools, maintain compliant records, and coordinate with auditors and tax advisers to uphold control standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivots).
• Experience with Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally or ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records with proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts and payment gateways; resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process customer and landlord payouts after verifications.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, invoicing and follow-ups.
• Record revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments; assist month/year-end closing.
• Prepare cash-flow reports and balance summaries.
• Support UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance with schedules.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and coordinate with auditors.
• Follow internal controls and escalate payment issues promptly.

About the Role

We are looking for an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, payment reconciliations, customer and landlord payouts, and financial reporting. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate work within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure transactions are supported by appropriate documentation.


• Reconcile bank accounts, payment gateways and customer and landlord balances; investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.


• Prepare and process customer and landlord payouts after verifying collections, fees, adjustments and approvals.


• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payment tracking and follow-ups.


• Record revenue, expenses, accruals and prepayments, and support month-end and year-end closing.


• Prepare cash-flow reports, outstanding balance summaries and other financial reports.


• Support UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance through accurate records, reconciliations and supporting schedules.


• Maintain audit-ready documentation and coordinate with auditors and tax advisers.


• Follow financial controls and approval procedures, and elevate errors, delays or payment exceptions promptly.


• Improve accounting workflows and reduce manual errors through effective use of Excel and accounting systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.


• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including experience in the UAE.


• Sound understanding of accounting principles and working knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.


• Strong practical Excel skills, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables and reconciliation of large datasets.


• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally or an ERP system.


• Experience in fintech, payment services, property management or a business handling high transaction volumes would be an advantage.
