Job summary

A leading laundry service provider in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting and transactions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of UAE accounting experience, preferably with previous audit firm experience. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, managing accounts, and performing audits. Proficiency in Xero software is preferred. Flexibility and problem-solving abilities are essential for meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries.
  • Documenting financial transactions.
  • Summarizing current financial status.
  • Substantiating financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintaining accounting controls.
  • Preparing payments and verifying documentation.
  • Producing error-free accounting reports.
  • Supplier payment reconciliations.
  • Preparing cash flow and income statement forecasts.
  • Handling creditors, debtors, and bank reconciliation.
  • Completing administration related tasks as needed.

Skills

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting
UAE experience
Prior experience in Audit firm
Accounting software experience of Xero
Ability to work quickly and efficiently

Responsibilities
  • Preparing monthly financial reports.
  • Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  • Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  • Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
  • Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results.
  • Supplier payment reconciliations.
  • Prepare cash flow and income statement forecasts.
  • With the ability to work independently, the Accountant is responsible for completing the accounting requirements including handling creditors, debtors, bank reconciliation and balance sheet.
  • Some administration related tasks may also be required, and any other additional tasks required by the department head or the management.
Skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in accounting. UAE experience must.
  • Prior experience in Audit firm as external auditor is must
  • Accounting software experience of Xero will be given preference
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently and maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Enjoys problem solving and has strong analytical ability.
  • Experience working within Small Businesses.
  • Experience and knowledge in basic business strategy and how accounting information can be used to improve business decision making.
  • Must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be prepared to work flexible hours and meet tight deadlines.
