Job summary

Sofitel Ras Al Khaimah is seeking a skilled AC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC systems across our facilities in the United Arab Emirates. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards while providing efficient solutions to keep systems running smoothly.

Join our maintenance team to deliver reliable comfort for guests and staff. A minimum of 3 years' hands-on HVAC experience and an ITI or equivalent HVAC certification are required;

Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AC Technician to join our team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of air conditioning and HVAC systems across our facilities. As an AC Technician, you'll combine technical expertise with a customer-focused approach, delivering efficient solutions while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. Your analytical mindset and collaborative spirit will be essential as you work alongside our maintenance team to keep our systems running smoothly and our clients satisfied.

• Install, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems and related HVAC equipment with precision and attention to detail
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in air conditioning systems using analytical problem-solving skills to ensure proper operation
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on all AC systems to avoid unexpected breakdowns and optimize efficiency
• Replace or repair defective components such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and refrigeration parts
• Test electrical circuits and components to verify safety, efficiency, and compliance with manufacturer specifications
• Clean, inspect, and service air filters, coils, and other critical components to maintain air quality and system performance
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local regulations, and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain organized and accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and service work completed
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime
• Coordinate effectively with other technicians and departments to complete projects efficiently and meet organizational goals

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC maintenance experience in commercial, hospitality, or large facility environments
• Technical certification in HVAC, Refrigeration Engineering, or equivalent (ITI certification preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex system issues
• Comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical components
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and system schematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration
• Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to professional service delivery
• Ability to maintain detailed and organized maintenance records and documentation
• Physical capability to perform field work, including climbing, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions
• Valid driver's license for traveling to multiple facility locations within the UAE
• Knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices in HVAC maintenance
• Demonstrated reliability, resilience, and ability to manage emergency situations effectively
