Job summary

Hamilton Aquatics Abu Dhabi seeks a Development Coach to nurture young swimmers into competitive athletes and foster a love for the sport. You will plan and deliver high-quality sessions for Development Squads, track progress, and promote talent through robust programmes.

Key duties include coaching foundations, liaising with parents, handling administration, and representing the club at events. The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and a commitment to safety and child

Qualifications

Experience coaching young swimmers, Learn to Swim to Train to Train stages.
UKCC Level 2 or equivalent qualification is required.
Lifeguard qualification or willingness to obtain on hire.
Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
Proficiency with IT and video analysis tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver and plan sessions for Foundation, Development, and Potential Squads as directed by Head of Development.
Track swimmer attendance, set targets, and adapt training as swimmers progress.
Promote competition participation and advise on event selection; attend locally and overseas as needed.
Recruit swimmers into squads and identify talent from Learn to Swim programs.
Maintain proactive communication with swimmers, parents, and staff; report daily to Head of Development.
Lead area meetings, document outcomes, and support administrative tasks related to entries and records.
Represent Hamilton Aquatics at galas and events; organise clinics with local schools.
