Position: ABA Therapist
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position Overview

The Behavior Specialist is responsible for providing direct 1:1 Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy and other related therapeutic methodologies to clients. This role requires adherence to Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis (QABA) standards. The Behavior Specialist ensures the effective implementation of therapy goals, collects and analyzes data, and supports the development of behavior intervention plans to achieve optimal client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct 1:1 ABA therapy and other relevant therapies as per assigned cases.
  • Implement behavioral intervention protocols as outlined by the Case Supervisor or BCBA, including prompt procedures and social skills training.
  • Collect and analyze data on client progress, including documenting, graphing, and tracking data with the help of the Operations Administrator.
  • Assist with assessment procedures under the supervision of the BCBA or Case Supervisor.
  • Prepare session materials and generate detailed session notes post-therapy.
  • Support clients with daily living skills and in various settings, including public and group settings.
  • Communicate professionally and objectively with clients’ families, providing handovers and educational support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with BACB/QABA and the company’s Code of Ethics.
Administrative Tasks
  • Maintain effective communication with the Case Supervisor/BCBA and report any issues affecting clients in a timely manner.
  • Adapt to updates in the electronic data collection system and incorporate feedback into performance.
  • Participate in client clinic team meetings, staff meetings, and mandatory training workshops.
  • Attend company communications and complete certification and professional development requirements.
General Tasks
  • Assist with training new specialists and substitute for absent specialists as needed.
  • Support client assessments and contribute to company special projects and staff training needs.
  • Ensure therapy areas are clean and follow all safety protocols, including hygiene and allergy management.
  • Report incidents and risks promptly, following company policies and procedures.
Other Tasks
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or as required for the role.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certification or training in ABA (e.g., RBT, BCaBA, or BCBA) is an advantage.
  • Eligible for UAE professional license (DOH, DHA, or MOH).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical ABA experience.
