Overview
Supervising and leading a team of facilities management staff, including technicians, maintenance personnel, and other support staff.
Responsibilities
- Providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently.
- Overseeing the execution of maintenance and repair activities for building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Scheduling and coordinating preventive maintenance to ensure the facility's optimal functioning.
- Identify the corrective maintenance and assign the team to complete the task.
- Scheduling the team for CM/EM complaints raised by the customers.
- Arrange required materials from the store or procurement department for the necessary maintenance.
- Coordination with external vendors and contractors for specialized services, repairs, and projects.
- Coordination with AMC service providers and ensuring the work meets the quality standards.
- Ensure the tools & material handling and usage of materials by the team members.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and other relevant standards.
- Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and emergency response plans.
- Serving as a liaison between facility management and other departments or building occupants.
- Communicating maintenance schedules, updates, and changes to the Line Manager.
- Monitoring and ensuring the quality of maintenance and repair work performed by the team or external contractors.
- Implementing and maintaining quality control processes.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and facility-related documentation.
- Providing reports and documentation as needed.
- Overseeing the implementation and use of technology, such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), to streamline facility management processes.
- Identifying training needs for the team and facilitating training programs to the team members reporting to the line manager.
- Ensuring staff members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Ensuring staff members are provided with the necessary PPE, Tools, and other essential equipment’s to perform the maintenance activities efficiently.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Implementing best practices to enhance the overall performance of the facilities management team.
