Job summary
A leading engineering firm in Johannesburg is seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in mineral processing plant design. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching processes. You will lead design packages, mentor junior engineers, and have strong capabilities in AutoCAD and MS Excel. This full-time position requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering and a solid understanding of engineering calculations.
Qualifications
- 5-6 years of mineral processing expertise including crushing, grinding, flotation, and leaching.
- Proficient in leading small design packages and mentoring junior engineers.
- Strong engineering calculation capability and good communication skills.

- Conducting mass balances, equipment sizing, and project coordination.

Our client is seeking a Process Engineer specializing in mineral processing plant design across concept feasibility basic and detailed engineering phases. Strong technical capability in mass balances equipment sizing process modelling and multidisciplinary project coordination for greenfield and brownfield operations.
A completed bachelors degree in chemical / metallurgical engineering.
5-6 years Mineral processing expertise : crushing grinding flotation gravity leaching / CIP / CIL solidliquid separation water circuits reagent dosing systems.
Proficient with AutoCAD 2D design suite (PFDs & PID) MS Excel and strong engineering calculation capability.
Good communication report writing client interaction and team coordination.
Able to lead small design packages and mentor junior engineers.
