Placements24 is seeking a Youth Development Officer to design and implement programs that foster growth and social engagement for youth in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Youth Development, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in youth work, community development, or a related role.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging youth programs and workshops.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in project management and basic budget administration.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver engaging programs and activities for youth aged 12-24.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions focused on life skills, leadership, career guidance, and personal development.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, providing mentorship and support.
• Collaborate with educational institutions, community groups, and parents to identify youth needs and opportunities.
• Organize and supervise recreational, educational, and community service events.

• Monitor participant progress and program effectiveness, collecting data for reporting and evaluation.
