Job summary

Shift Pursuit seeks a meticulous Bookkeeper to join a Roodepoort client team. The role focuses on precise financial record-keeping, payroll administration and statutory compliance using Xero.

You will manage month-end processes, reconcile accounts and support ad hoc accounting tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and time management. This on-site position requires clear communication and independent work habits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar bookkeeping role.
• Essential: Practical experience using Xero accounting software.
• Proven experience with payroll processing.
• Experience with SARS eFiling and statutory submissions.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping functions.
• Process payroll accurately and on time.
• Manage SARS eFiling submissions and ensure statutory compliance.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with month-end financial processes and reporting.
• Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.
