Job summary

Montana Recruitment in Boksburg is seeking a hands-on Workshop Manager for a steel fabrication shop. You will oversee operations, manage a 25–30 person team across fabrication, welding, and finishing, and drive production efficiency.

You’ll ensure tight sheet metal tolerances, lead planning, quality control, stock management, and develop technical drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD while upholding safety standards and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication and sheet metal processes.
• Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD for design.
• Proven experience in team leadership and workshop management.
• Willing to commute to near Boksburg North.

• Manage and supervise a team of 25–30 staff across fabrication, welding, and finishing departments
• Ensure adherence to sheet metal tolerances and oversee cutting, bending, welding, and grinding processes
• Lead production planning, quality control, and stock management to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency
• Develop and produce technical drawings using SolidWorks or AutoCAD

Requirements
