Responsibilities

• Oversee all workshop operations and workflow.
• Manage the lodge’s fleet of game viewers and transport vehicles.
• Ensure weekly vehicle checks are completed and recorded accurately.
• Proactively address all vehicle maintenance issues; assist with vehicle recoveries on the reserve and access roads.
• Manage procurement of vehicle parts and repairs.
• Maintain accurate stock records for vehicle parts.
• Lead and supervise a small workshop team.
• Work closely with lodge management to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Assist with town trips when required.
• Support lodge and reserve teams with general workshop and maintenance tasks.

Essential Requirements

• Experience working on diesel engines
• Experience working on Toyota vehicles
• Highly organised and meticulous with tools, stock, and record‑keeping
• Excellent communication skills

Desired Requirements

• Experience in a lodge or game reserve workshop environment
• Experience with heavy machinery (e.g., tractors)
• Experience managing a fleet of vehicles
