Job summary

Tiger Brands in Bellville is seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to support maintenance of the Integrated Food Safety Management System and site Prerequisite Programs, including daily process checks and data reporting. You will assist with mass balance, site PRP audits, monthly quality scorecards, dealing with customer complaints, and audits, with emphasis on maintaining EMP and FSSC compliance.

This role offers exposure to internal and external audits and contributes to a culture of food

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping
• Assist Measuring and Testing Analyst daily duties

• Sensory Evaluation
• Updating Foods Connected Product Check (Management of incoming raw materials)
• Promoting a positive food safety and quality culture
• Involvement in Monthly Food Safety meetings

Responsible for helping the smooth running of the business by ensuring maintenance of the Integrated Food Safety Management System and the sites Prerequisite programs. Duties will include working with administratively and operationally; this will also include gaining experience in trade visits.
The quality and food safety HOD requires assistance in handling and carrying out day to day departmental duties which includes daily process checks and consolidation of data reporting. Weekly duties such as Mass Balance, completion of site PRP Audits, weekly bread evaluation and data analysis thereof on a monthly basis.
