Tiger Brands in South Africa seeks a dedicated professional to support the smooth running of the Integrated Food Safety Management System and the site Prerequisite Programs. You will work with administratively and operationally; this will also include gaining experience in trade visits.

The role includes daily process checks, data reporting, audits, and handling customer complaints while promoting a positive food safety and quality culture.

• Maintain the Integrated Food Safety Management System and site Prerequisite Programs.
• Perform daily process checks and consolidate data reporting.
• Assist in monthly audits, data analysis of micro results and management of quality returns.
• Handle customer complaints and non-conformances; support CAPA actions.

Job description

Responsible for helping the smooth running of the business by ensuring maintenance of the Integrated Food Safety Management System and the sites Prerequisite programs. Duties will include working with administratively and operationally; this will also include gaining experience in trade visits. The quality and food safety HOD requires assistance in handling and carrying out day to day departmental duties which includes daily process checks and consolidation of data reporting. Weekly duties such as Mass Balance, completion of site PRP Audits, weekly bread evaluation and data analysis thereof on a monthly basis.

• Updating Foods Connected Product Check (Management of incoming raw materials)
• Promoting a positive food safety and quality culture
• Involvement in Monthly Food Safety meetings
• Completion of monthly quality scorec ard
• Management of annual mock recalls
• Maintenance of the EMP programme
• Monthly data analysis of micro results
• Managing customer complaints and non-conformances
• Assist in Management of changes related to Food Safety and Quality
• Maintenance of FSSC 22000 v6 and effective transition of FSSC 22000 v7
• Assist in meeting the sites Food Safety and Quality Objectives
