Qualifications

• Experience with SumSub verification and SoftSwiss Backoffice tools.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess risk holistically.

Responsibilities

• Process withdrawal requests accurately and within SLA, validating details and docs.

BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing, regulated iGaming operator to find a Withdrawal & Verification Specialist to join its South African operations. This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of compliance, payments, fraud prevention and customer service, responsible for ensuring customer withdrawals are processed accurately and on time while meeting South African gambling regulations, AML/FICA legislation and internal risk frameworks.

The role would suit someone with a risk-based mindset, exceptional attention to detail and a strong grasp of how operational decisions affect customer experience, retention and business performance. You'll manage withdrawal processing and customer verification (KYC/FICA) end to end, apply enhanced due diligence where required, flag suspicious activity, and support the wider Customer Support team during peak periods. Responsibilities:

• Process customer withdrawal requests accurately and within defined SLA timeframes, validating payment details and supporting documentation prior to payout
• Investigate and resolve withdrawal exceptions, delays or disputes, liaising with internal teams and third-party payment providers
• Conduct customer verification in line with FICA, AML and responsible gambling requirements, reviewing identity documents, proof of address, banking details and source of funds
• Apply a risk-based approach to enhanced due diligence (EDD) where required, keeping customer records complete, accurate and audit-ready
• Identify and escalate suspicious activity, potential fraud, bonus abuse or AML concerns in line with internal policy and regulatory obligations
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of South African gambling legislation and contribute to ongoing improvements in risk controls, workflows and policies
• Balance compliance requirements with a fair, transparent, customer-centric approach, working closely with Customer Support on verification and withdrawal queries
• Act as backup to the Customer Support team via Chat and Email, monitoring volumes and stepping in during peak periods
• Maintain accurate records and case notes for regulatory and internal review, and contribute to reporting on withdrawal volumes, turnaround times and risk trends
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience in iGaming, fintech, banking or regulated financial services
• Hands-on experience with withdrawals, payments, KYC, AML or fraud prevention
• Solid understanding of South African FICA and AML requirements
• Experience with SumSub verification and SoftSwiss Backoffice tools
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to assess risk holistically
• Comfortable working with high volumes and tight deadlines
• Experience within the South African iGaming or gambling environment is advantageous
• Familiarity with local regulators and gambling compliance frameworks is advantageous
• Exposure to transaction monitoring tools, KYC platforms or risk engines is advantageous
