Job summary

SORTD Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join its expanding Facilities Management team in the UK. You’ll produce high-quality, persuasive tender submissions working with Marketing, Business Development and Operations to win new business.

You’ll manage RFIs and full tender responses, translate complex operational information into client-facing proposals, and maintain a content library to improve future bids, while ensuring brand-consistent messaging.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bid writing, tender writing or proposal development.
• Excellent written English with persuasive, concise content.
• Strong editing, proofreading and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex tender requirements and translate operational information.
• Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial mindset and ability to differentiate proposals.
• Experience in Facilities Management or outsourced services is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and coordinating responses to RFIs, PQQs/SQs, ITTs and tender opportunities.
• Writing compelling, tailored and commercially focused bid responses.
• Reviewing tender documentation and ensuring responses address client requirements and evaluation criteria.
• Collaborating with operations and subject-matter experts to gather evidence and service solutions.
• Developing executive summaries, case studies, method statements, mobilisation plans and service propositions.
• Editing contributions from different teams to ensure a clear narrative.
• Working with Marketing to ensure bids are professionally presented and on-brand.
• Developing and maintaining a strong library of bid content and case studies.
• Managing multiple submissions and deadlines with accuracy.
• Using client feedback and lessons learned to improve future bids.
