Job summary

Windmeul Cellar on the northern slopes of Paarl Mountain invites a professional Winemaker to join its dynamic production team. You will lead winemaking operations, ensure quality, manage stock and administration, supervise personnel, and uphold maintenance, safety and compliance.

The role requires a relevant degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology, 2-5 years’ experience, strong tasting skills, and proficient computer use. Afrikaans and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification (degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or similar qualification).
• 2-5 years’ proven experience in the wine industry.
• Mechanical and technical knowledge of winemaking machinery and equipment.
• Well-developed wine tasting skills.
• Good computer skills (Wine MS).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Afrikaans and English).
• Detail orientated.
• Ability to perform well in both a team context and individually.
• Valid driver’s licence.
