The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience, familiarity with Paarl roads, and a careful approach to handling delicate or high-value goods.

Qualifications

• Valid South African driver’s license with Code 10 endorsement.
• Professional Driving Permit (PDP) required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably in logistics.
• Familiarity with Paarl Winelands road network.
• Experience handling delicate or high-value goods desirable.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Code 10 delivery vehicle safely and efficiently to transport wine products and supplies.
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes within Paarl Winelands region.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including proof of delivery and mileage.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable reflecting premium products.
• Communicate with vineyard managers, bottling staff, and distribution partners.
• Adhere to road safety regulations and alcohol handling protocols.
• Load and unload wine cases with proper handling techniques.
• Represent the company professionally with internal teams and external partners.

About the Role

Our client, a renowned vineyard and wine producer located in the picturesque Paarl region of the Western Cape, is seeking a dedicated Wine Logistics Driver with a Code 10 license. This specialized role involves the safe and timely transportation of bottled wines, raw materials, and related supplies between vineyards, bottling facilities, and distribution hubs within the Paarl valley and surrounding Winelands areas. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach to handling delicate products, a thorough understanding of regional routes, and a commitment to maintaining the quality and integrity of our client's premium wines during transit. You will be responsible for operating a company-provided truck, conducting thorough vehicle checks, and ensuring compliance with all transportation regulations specific to the beverage industry. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Code 10 delivery vehicle safely and efficiently to transport wine products and supplies.
• Handle and secure bottled wine and other fragile materials with extreme care to prevent breakage or damage.
• Plan and execute daily delivery routes within the Paarl Winelands region and to designated collection/delivery points.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, including proof of delivery, mileage, and product condition upon arrival.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean and presentable, reflecting the premium nature of the products.
• Communicate effectively with vineyard managers, bottling plant staff, and distribution partners.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company-specific protocols for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Manage loading and unloading of wine cases and supplies, ensuring proper handling techniques are employed.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with internal teams and external partners.

Requirements
