Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Wine Logistics Driver to manage the transportation of wine products throughout Paarl, Western Cape and surrounding estates. You will plan routes, handle delicate wine shipments, and represent the company professionally to winery clients and distributors.

The role requires a valid Code 10 or C1 license with a clean record, plus experience in logistics or delivery within food/beverage or agricultural sectors.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with Western Cape wine routes and winery logistics is advantageous.
• Understanding of proper handling and storage requirements for wine products.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills for winery interactions.

Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles for wine transportation in Paarl and surrounding estates, using temperature-controlled units if required.
• Ensure safe loading, securing, and unloading of wine cases, bottles, and bulk containers.
• Monitor temperature during transit to maintain product quality and integrity.
• Plan efficient delivery routes and coordinate with wineries and distribution centers.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness for daily operations.
• Accurately record delivery details, stock movements, and required documentation.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the wine industry, is seeking a dedicated Wine Logistics Driver to manage the transportation of wine products throughout the Paarl, Western Cape region and surrounding wine estates. This role requires a driver who understands the unique requirements of handling delicate wine shipments, ensuring product quality is maintained from cellar to destination. You will be responsible for efficient route planning, safe handling of bottled and bulk wine, and representing the company professionally to winery clients and distributors in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate delivery vehicles, including specialized temperature-controlled units if required, for wine transportation in the Paarl area and beyond.
• Ensure the safe loading, securing, and unloading of wine cases, bottles, and potential bulk wine containers.
• Adhere to strict quality control measures, including temperature monitoring during transit.
• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, coordinating with wineries and distribution centers.
• Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the delivery vehicle.
• Accurately record all delivery details, stock movements, and any required documentation.

Requirements
