Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a Civil Engineer to work on municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater design and related projects. You will design wet services, water distribution networks and pump stations, and prepare technical drawings and reports.

The role involves coordinating with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines, performing hydraulic calculations, and contributing to multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in wet services and water infrastructure design.

• Experience with stormwater drainage design for municipal infrastructure.

Skills & Experience:

• Experience in wet services and water infrastructure design
• Water reticulation and distribution systems
• Sewer and wastewater networks
• Stormwater drainage design
• Bulk water and municipal infrastructure
• Pump stations and associated infrastructure
• Hydraulic design and calculations
• Preparation of engineering drawings, specifications and technical reports
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar civil design software
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey information and technical specifications
• Experience coordinating wet services with civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Experience within municipal, water, wastewater or consulting engineering environments advantageous

Qualification:

• BEng / BSc / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• ECSA registration advantageous, particularly for senior-level professionals
