Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in road and transportation infrastructure design to join our team in South Africa. You will contribute to road alignment, pavement design, bridge works, stormwater management and earthworks, while interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree and be familiar with Civil 3D or AutoCAD, with ECSA registration advantageous for senior professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or diploma in civil engineering or related field is required or advantageous.
• ECSA registration is advantageous, with professional registration relevant for senior professionals.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Experience coordinating with civil, structural and other engineering disciplines may be beneficial.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in road and transportation infrastructure design
• Road alignment and geometric design
• Pavement design and rehabilitation
• Experience with bridge and associated infrastructure projects
• Stormwater and drainage associated with road projects
• Earthworks and bulk earthworks
• Preparation of technical reports, specifications and design documentation
• Experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD or similar civil design software
• Ability to interpret survey information, engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Experience coordinating with civil, structural and other engineering disciplines
• Experience with municipal, provincial or major infrastructure projects advantageous
• Consulting engineering experience advantageous

Qualification:

• BEng / BSc / BTech / National Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• ECSA registration advantageous, with Professional Registration particularly relevant for senior professionals
