Job summary

Kalagadi is seeking a Weighbridge Controller to coordinate the movement of trucks through the weighbridge, admit trucks, verify bookings and system information, and control truck traffic. The role works with stockpile personnel to allocate loading destinations and ensure safety and operational procedures are followed.

The position emphasizes accurate truck identification, clear communication among operational areas, and minimizing congestion and delays on site.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Relevant logistics, transport, mining or operations qualification will be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a weighbridge, logistics, mining, transport or dispatch environment.
• Experience working with computerised systems.
• Experience in traffic or vehicle movement control will be advantageous.
• Experience in a mining environment will be advantageous.

Job description

To control and coordinate the movement of trucks through the weighbridge in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. The Weighbridge Controller is responsible for admitting trucks, verifying bookings and system information, controlling truck traffic, coordinating loading destinations with the relevant controllers and stockpile personnel, and ensuring that all weighbridge activities comply with site safety and operational requirements.The position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate truck identification, correct stockpile allocation, effective communication between operational areas, and the prevention of congestion and operational delays.
