Job summary

Mpact Plastic Containers Castleview is seeking a dedicated Waste Controller to monitor and control production waste generated during manufacturing. You will ensure accurate waste segregation, recording, and disposal in line with company procedures and environmental standards.

The successful candidate will manage waste volumes, perform routine inspections, identify opportunities to reduce waste, and coordinate waste collection and recycling activities.

Qualifications

• Matric with Maths, Tech Maths or Maths Literacy (50%).
• 1–3 years’ experience in Injection Moulding manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control waste management processes in production.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on waste volumes.
• Coordinate waste collection and recycling activities with internal teams and external partners.
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure compliance with SHEQ and environmental standards.
• Report deviations or non-conformances and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Uphold high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance.

Introduction

We are excited to invite a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Waste Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling production waste generated during the manufacturing process, ensuring accurate waste segregation, recording, and disposal in line with company procedures and environmental standards. You will track waste volumes, conduct routine inspections, identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve recycling initiatives, report any deviations or non-conformances, and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling waste management processes while contributing across various key areas, including:

• waste control,
• Safety, as well as SHEQ and Food Safety requirements where applicable.

The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, coordinating waste collection and recycling activities, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold high standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance, while demonstrating strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
