About the Role

Our client seeks a dependable and energetic Warehouse Team Lead to supervise operations during the night shift in their busy facility located in Centurion, Gauteng . This role is critical for ensuring that all warehouse functions, including receiving, order fulfillment, and dispatch, are carried out efficiently and accurately throughout the overnight period. The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding a team of warehouse operatives, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring productivity targets are met. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring a strong work ethic and a commitment to operational excellence. You will be directly contributing to the seamless flow of goods that fuels our client's business operations in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct a team of warehouse staff during the night shift.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Monitor team performance and provide guidance and support to achieve daily targets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift briefings with the team.
• Train new team members on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
• Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative or Team Lead, preferably within a night shift environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Basic computer skills and experience with WMS or inventory systems are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of warehouse work, including standing, walking, and lifting.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to attendance.
