Placements24 is seeking a Warehouse Associate for a night shift in Randburg, Gauteng. The role covers receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching to ensure accurate orders and efficient warehouse operations.

Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working safely in a team. Night shifts and proximity to Randburg are advantageous; training will be provided.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the distribution and warehousing industry, is seeking dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Associates to join their busy team on the night shift in Randburg, Gauteng . This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of the warehouse, involving the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of the supply chain, ensuring that orders are processed accurately and efficiently to meet customer demands. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and are committed to maintaining a safe and productive working environment. This is a hands‑on role that requires physical stamina and attention to detail, contributing directly to the success of operations in the Gauteng area.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, and accurately check incoming goods against purchase orders.
• Store products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation and organization.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.
• Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently (if certified).
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring goods are handled with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Assist with the preparation of outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
• Adhere to all company procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily operational targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse or similar manual handling role is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory tasks.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to completing assigned tasks.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, especially during night shifts.
• Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including night shifts and weekends as required.
• Proximity to Randburg, Gauteng is advantageous.
• Experience operating warehouse machinery is a plus.
