Job summary

iStaff Recruitment is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on supervising daily warehouse operations, inbound receiving, packing, and dispatch, with strong emphasis on accurate stock control using warehouse management systems.

The ideal candidate has Grade 12, a relevant tertiary qualification, and at least 3 years in warehouse operations and team supervision, including leadership and attention to detail under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse operations, inventory control and team supervision.
• Strong computer literacy and experience with stock and warehouse management systems.
• Experience in fresh produce, agricultural, FMCG or commodities environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Hands-on approach with ability to actively support operational requirements.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
• Oversee the receiving and handling of inbound raw materials.
• Supervise packing operations and provide daily direction to the warehouse and packing team.
• Ensure products are packed according to quality and operational requirements.
• Coordinate and oversee the dispatch of finished products.
• Maintain accurate stock control and inventory records; conduct regular stock checks and investigate variances.
• Ensure warehouse housekeeping, organisation and operational standards are maintained.
• Monitor workflow and allocate resources to achieve targets.
• Train, support and manage warehouse staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, health and safety requirements and warehouse controls.
• Assist operationally where required to ensure successful execution of warehouse activities.
