Job summary

Homechoice is a leading South African homeware retailer seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Blackheath DC. You will support receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and distribution, while maintaining safe, accurate stock handling and adherence to procedures.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in a warehouse, a Grade 12, and a valid driver’s license. You will work with scanners, conveyors, and team members to meet daily targets and uphold quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or matric or NQF 4.
• 2–5 years in a warehouse or distribution centre.
• Understanding of stock control and loss prevention principles.
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license.
• Physically able to perform warehouse tasks and have reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Receiving: offloading deliveries, counting and labelling inbound goods.
• Inventory management: stock movements, cycle counts, use of scanners.
• Picking: accurate picking of orders, detanking stock as needed.
• Conveyor operations: operate conveyors and support KPIs.
• Packing and distribution: pack orders and scan for dispatch.
• Ad hoc support: general DC tasks, housekeeping, equipment care.
