Placements24 is seeking a proactive Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the daily operations of a large Paarl facility. You will help lead teams, optimize inventory, ensure accuracy, and uphold safety and quality standards to enable efficient service delivery.

The role requires 5–7 years in warehousing with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, experience with WMS and Excel, strong leadership and problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to cost control and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
• 5-7 years of warehousing experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WMS and inventory control techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing teams and fostering a positive work culture.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in daily planning, execution, and supervision of all warehouse activities.
• Oversee and coordinate teams involved in receiving, storage, order fulfillment and shipping.
• Ensure efficient inventory management including stock counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
• Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
• Support staff development through training, coaching and performance management.
• Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve efficiency, cost and quality.
• Manage warehouse resources including equipment, supplies and space utilization.
• Collaborate with transportation and customer service to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist in process improvements and resolve operational issues with escalation as needed.
