Placements24 is seeking a reliable Warehouse Material Handler to join our Kimberley-based logistics team. The role focuses on loading, unloading, picking, packing, and staging materials, with hands-on duties at the on-site facility to support daily operations.

You will operate basic warehouse equipment, perform safety-first tasks, and cooperate with colleagues to meet inventory targets while maintaining a clean, organized work area and adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in material handling preferred but not essential.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg repeatedly and standing for extended periods.

About the Role

Our client, a key player in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, is seeking a reliable and physically capable Warehouse Material Handler to join their dynamic team in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA . This role is essential for the efficient movement and organization of goods within the warehouse. You will be responsible for tasks such as loading, unloading, picking, packing, and staging materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety standards. This is an on-site position, requiring your hands-on contribution at our Kimberley facility to support the daily operational flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight using appropriate material handling equipment.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently according to specified requirements.
• Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations, and from storage to dispatch areas.
• Organize and maintain inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and labeling.
• Conduct regular checks of equipment to ensure it is in safe and good working order, reporting any issues.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while performing duties.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in designated areas.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational targets.
• Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse associate, or in a similar physical role is preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting items up to 25kg repeatedly, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
• Proficiency in operating basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (certification is a plus).
• Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace safety procedures.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime if needed.
• Experience working in the Northern Cape region is beneficial.
