Placements24 is actively seeking a proactive Warehouse Logistics Planner to optimize warehouse operations in Kimberley, Northern Cape. You will develop detailed plans for receiving, storage, picking and shipping, manage inventory flow, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse planning or logistics coordination, plus strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed warehouse operational plans (receiving, put-away, storage, picking, shipping).
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock placement and movement.
• Coordinate with transportation teams for timely loading/unloading of goods.
• Analyze capacity and resource utilization to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with procurement and sales to forecast demand and align warehouse operations.
• Develop and maintain efficient warehouse layouts to maximize space and workflow.
• Track KPIs related to warehouse efficiency, accuracy and cost.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed in the warehouse.
• Prepare reports on operations, performance metrics, and planning activities.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse planning, logistics coordination, or operations management.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing warehouse operational plans.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse layout optimization, and material flow.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and relevant planning software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with the logistics landscape in Kimberley, Northern Cape is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
