Job summary

Fluor in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Storeperson to support efficient stores operations under a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role involves receiving, storing, issuing, and accounting for materials, ensuring accurate stock records and safety compliance.

You will work with SAP and standard warehouse procedures to maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate with production and project teams, and uphold high safety and quality standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is the minimum requirement.
• Diploma or relevant certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field is advantageous.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in stock control, stores, warehousing, or inventory management.
• Knowledge of SAP or warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
• A valid forklift license is advantageous and may be required where material handling duties apply.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, verify, store, assemble, pack, and unpack goods per procedures and documentation.
• Issue materials to production, projects, or internal stakeholders accurately and timely.
• Ensure proper identification, reservation, labeling, handling, and safe storage of stock and equipment.
• Maintain accurate stock records, documentation, and date control for traceability and accountability.
• Perform stock control activities, including inventory checks, cycle counts, stock takes, and authorized adjustments.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, damages, or irregularities to supervisor.
• Liaise with Supply Chain, production, project teams, and internal stakeholders regarding stock availability and queries.
• Utilise SAP or warehouse systems to process inventory transactions and track stock movements.
• Operate forklift or material handling equipment as licensed/required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, orderliness, and safety in stores/warehouse.
