Job summary

Sun International in Cape Town is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to move and transfer stock within the warehouse and to outlets across the complex, ensuring stock levels meet operational requirements in line with company standards.

You will handle picking lists, packing on arrival, stock rotation, and monthly stock takes, while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and accurate stock control in a busy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Move and transfer stock within and from the warehouse to various outlets on the complex.
• Get picking list from the stock controller and issue the goods as per SOP.
• Pack stock on arrival and assist with stock rotation to ensure oldest goods are picked first.
• Store stock in line with safety standards and keep storage areas clean.
• Participate in stock takes monthly and recount when necessary.
• Report on obsolete stock.

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible to move and transfer stock within and from the warehouse to various outlets across the complex to ensure sufficient stock levels in line with operational requirements, and according to Company standards and regulations

Duties and responsibilities include

Stock Transfers

• Get picking list from the stock controller and issue the goods as per SOP
• Pack stock on arrival and assist with stock rotation- ensuring old goods are in front to be picked first
• Move and transfer stock within and from the warehouse to various outlets on the complex
• Store stock in line with safety standards
• Clean storage areas and equipment
• Participate in stock takes on a monthly basis; and recounts when necessary
• Report on obsolete stock
