Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Software Architect to define the technical vision and architecture for its software products in Centurion. You will guide development teams, set engineering standards, and ensure a scalable, future-proof stack aligned with business goals.

The role demands 10+ years of software experience, deep architectural expertise, and strong communication to influence decisions across product and engineering. Relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a software architecture or lead technical role.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing complex, scalable, and high-availability systems.
• Deep understanding of various architectural styles (e.g., microservices, monolithic, event-driven).
• Proficiency with cloud-native architectures and services on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Define and document the overall technical architecture for software applications and systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet project requirements and long-term goals.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the engineering department.
• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical roadmaps.
• Conduct technical reviews, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies for architectural challenges.
