Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Child Development Specialist for a full-time remote role serving families across Limpopo. You will conduct virtual developmental assessments and design personalized early intervention plans for 0-6 year olds.

Working remotely, you will support families via telehealth, provide coaching to caregivers, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal developmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field (Child Development, ECE or Psychology).
• At least 4 years of direct practice with children and families.
• Strong knowledge of child development theories, tools and interventions.
• Proficient with telehealth platforms and digital service delivery.
• Ability to work independently with remote caseloads.

Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual developmental assessments for young children.
• Develop individualized early intervention plans with families.
• Provide remote guidance and coaching to caregivers.
• Deliver virtual play-based therapy sessions.
• Monitor progress with remote check-ins and reports.
• Educate families on milestones and parenting techniques.
• Collaborate virtually with other professionals involved in care.
• Maintain confidential client records in secure systems.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices.
• Advocate for needs of children and families within the system.
