Description du poste

Studio Portal is a video and podcast production studio in the Cape Town Foreshore. We help people and brands create with purpose, and we’re looking for a freelance editor for our video podcasts and long-form content, as we are heading into our busiest season.

Our podcasts are filmed as video, with multiple camera angles, and published on YouTube and social media as well as audio platforms. We need someone who can take raw multi-camera footage and audio and deliver a finished episode on their own: a clean, well-paced video edit, polished audio, a consistent colour grade.

What you’ll do

• Edit full-length video podcast episodes from raw footage to final delivery
• Sync and cut multi-camera footage, choosing the right angles and keeping the pacing tight
• Clean up and balance dialogue audio: noise reduction, EQ, levelling and sync
• Colour correct and grade footage so every episode has a consistent look
• Add titles, lower thirds and captions
• Organise project files and deliver on agreed deadlines

What we’re looking for

• Proven video editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
• Experience editing multi-camera interviews, podcasts or other long-form video (30 minutes and longer)
• Audio clean-up skills for spoken word
• Working knowledge of colour correction and grading
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time and hit deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted editing tools such as AutoCut
• Camera, lighting or multi-cam podcast set-up experience
• Motion graphics basics
• Your own computer and software, and reliable internet for transferring large video files

The arrangement

• Freelance, paid per hour of raw content
• Ongoing work for the right person
• Editing remotely with some studio attendance
